Joel Zylstra

Joel serves as chief operating officer and president of Granger Energy Services. More than 20 years of experience developing landfill gas recovery projects with Granger has given Joel extensive knowledge in the field. Joel earned a bachelor's degree in civil and environmental engineering at Calvin College and did post-graduate studies at Michigan State University and Northwestern University. A part of the Granger renewable energy team since the beginning, Joel has been instrumental in the success of each of Granger's landfill gas recovery projects. His vision and willingness to tackle difficult projects has brought Granger to its present-day national presence. Joel's strong leadership was recognized in 2006 by Greater Lansing Business Monthly when he was honored with the Entrepreneur of the Year Award in the category of social responsibility. He has directed the path for Granger's many other awards and achievements.

Todd Davlin

Todd is the director of energy operations. Todd has more than 15 years of experience in solid waste management. His experience extends to waste disposal facility operations staff monitoring, waste disposal volumes, health and safety, budgeting and compliance. He currently manages all of Granger's direct-use plant operations. Todd is instrumental in the initial design and construction of new project development and is responsible for overall facility operations and maintenance. He holds a bachelor's degree in civil and environmental engineering and a master's degree in civil and geotechnical engineering, both from Michigan State University. Todd is a member of the Solid Waste Association of North America and holds a 40-hour OHSA Health and Safety Training certification.

Marc Pauley

Marc is the director of electric operations and has more than 15 years of experience in the energy field. He has an extensive background in the utility industry, including several years with Consumers Energy and DTE Energy, giving him an excellent understanding of operational and regulatory concerns. Marc directs the operations of all Granger's electrical generation facilities, as well as assisting in the development of new projects and negotiations with utilities. Marc earned a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering from Purdue University in 1985. He is a member of the Solid Waste Association of North America and the Engineering Society of Detroit, and participates on the boards of both the Michigan Independent Power Producers Association and the Michigan Sustainable Energy Coalition.

Jim Grant

As director of engineering and construction, Jim oversees all project design and development. He has more than 10 years of experience in environmental engineering design, primarily in Brownfield redevelopment and geoenvironmental projects. Jim oversees all engineering and design consultants, construction of projects and project design. He earned honors recognition for both his bachelor's and master's degrees in civil and environmental engineering at Michigan State University.

Dan Zimmerman

Dan is the compliance manager for Granger Energy & Electric, and is responsible for managing energy contracts and permits, coordinating compliance requirements and deadlines, submitting reports, pipeline safety and engine testing. He has held various positions in environmental monitoring over the past 13 years, and has extensive experience in field and lab testing and record keeping. Dan earned a bachelor's degree in industrial and environmental health management from Ferris State University.
