Drop-off Recycling

As a service to the community, Granger maintains a drop-off recycling location. Individuals can visit the drop-off 24 hours a day, seven days a week and leave sorted recyclable materials free of charge.

Recycling Drop-off Center Guidelines

Newspaper

Inserts can be included. NO: plastic bags, string, twine, stickers, coins, or plastic stuck on papers

Glossy Magazines & Catalogs

Separate from newspapers and inserts. NO: plastic bags, string, twine, stickers, coins, or plastic stuck on papers

Tin Cans & Aluminum

Rinse clean and flatten. NO: paint cans, appliances, hangers, fencing, scrap metal, aerosol cans or containers with food residue

Boxboard

Break down and remove any contaminants (food, plastic or foil packaging). NO: plastic, Styrofoam, wax-or foil-coated boxes, refrigerator or freezer boxes, including 6, 12 or 24 pack beverage cases

Corrugated Cardboard

Break down and remove any contaminants (Styrofoam, wood or food). NO: glossy or shiny cardboard, wax-coated boxes, 6, 12, or 24 pack beverage cases

Food & Beverage Glass

Include only clear and brown glass. Rinse clean and remove lids. NO: green glass, light bulbs, window glass, Pyrex, drinking glasses, plates or broken glass

Mixed Plastic Bottles & Tubs

Containers with #1 – #7 symbol on bottom accepted, including bottles and jugs with narrow, threaded neck; plastic tubs (margarine, sour cream, cottage cheese, etc.); microwave trays; and yogurt containers. NO: Plastic bags; paper wax-coated milk or juice cartons; Styrofoam containers/packaging; syringes; garden hose/rubber; furniture; pools; toys; free flowing liquids.

Office Paper

Office paper and shredded paper are collected in containers in front of the Recycling Center building, Monday through Friday between 7 a.m. and 4 p.m. Shredded paper should be put in the container in clear bags.
