What kind of activities do you do on a typical workday?
- Weigh Granger and non-Granger recycling and trash trucks on the scale
- Weigh semi trucks picking up baled recyclable materials bound for a processing facility on the scale
- Take phone calls from Granger recycle truck drivers
- Take phone calls from residential customers
How long have you worked at Granger? 15 years
What’s your favorite part about working at Granger?
There are several but here are just a few. It is a pleasure working for such a wonderful family and company and with great co-workers. My husband is a driver with Granger; combined we have 37 years with the company, and it is a joy to have the opportunity to assist him, other associates and our customers throughout my day.
What do you find most interesting about this industry?
Everything from trash pickup to recycle pickup to the cool trucks that all the kids (including me) love. From engineering that goes into building a landfill to seeing the process recyclable materials take to finally get to a recycle plant instead of a landfill.
